Stock Photography
Stock photography is a term given to a photo collection that consists of existing photos (usually in digital format) that
are not copyrighted and can be licensed for various purposes. Many publishers use stock photography for books, magazines,
news papers, advertisements, and various other uses. Web designers, graphic designers, film makers artists, and many other
professionals also use stock photography to fulfill the many needs of their creative every day profession.
When somebody uses stock photography they are using an existing image from a library of images and this can save the cost
that it would take to hire a photographer to obtain the image, not to mention the time involved. This is not always available,
and the ideal photos may not always be available but quite often this is a great alternative to the traditional method.
Stock images can be presented and delivered in many formats, some websites use searchable databases, some websites make you
purchase the images (others are free), and can be delivered via a CDROM, download or email.
Many stock photography web sites often carry still photography, video, and clip art, we are no different, our collection is
